Job Summary
The Deputy CRO is responsible for helping CRO in overall risk management functions of the Bank, especially Market Risk, as well as Credit Risk of the business lines present in Shanghai (IFD, CTY, PRIV, CB/MNCs). Report to Chief Risk Officer, China.
Main Responsibilities
1. Supervise Market Risk Analyst. Approve major market risk parameters and risk limits.
2. To be responsible for reviewing the credit risk analysis of the commercial loan requests related to IFD, CTY, PRIV and MNCs, including expressing my position, and when necessary, proposing measures to enhance the Bank’s credit protection, and help monitoring credit exposure and concentration on client-groups and sectors
3. Interface regularly with risk analysts team in BJ , with CCG and relationship managers in the branches to acquire better understanding of the credit requests in terms of both the obligor’s financial condition and the facility structure;
4. Interface regularly with CIB BLs and with different RISQ teams in HK and Paris. Reply promptly to enquiries from other RISQ departments within Group and enhance communication with them to get timely replies on the requests;
5. Participate in establishing the Bank’s risk management standard. Monitor industry/sector developments and assist in monitoring & analyzing credit exposure and concentration for the Bank. Assist in establishment of risk policy for the different businesses;
6. Report to CRO on matters related to credit risk, market risk and country risks;
7. Assist in the management of the Risk Committee;
8. Assist CRO in maintaining contact with the Regulators for credit risk, market risk and country risks.
Candidate Profile
At least 10 years work experience in financial industry, and at least 10 years extensive experience in people and business management.
